What is the NDIS?
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is an Australian Government initiative that funds support and services for people living with a permanent and significant disability. It gives participants choice and control over the care they receive.
Am I Eligible?
To access the NDIS you generally need to:
- Be under 65 years of age
- Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or hold a Protected Special Category Visa
- Have a permanent and significant disability that affects your daily life
How Does It Work?

- Apply to the NDIS
- Attend a planning meeting
- Receive your NDIS plan and funding
